True Love

Alright. So 2 weeks ago I had the privelege of photographing another old classmate of mine. His name is Vikash and he is a super cool guy! He just bought himself a Camaro and wanted some glamour shots done of his new investment. He drove out to my parents property out in the boonies, because I thought the contrast between the scenery and the Camaro would be really cool. Here are some samples of what we got that day! Thanks Vikash!!

In My Daughters Eyes

This blog entry is from a shoot I did a few weeks ago of a young mother named Mariah Raasch and her darling daughter Alexis. I have had the privelege of knowing Mariah for 4 or 5 years now and her daughter since she was born just over a year ago now. Mariah is truly an inspiration to other young mothers out there. She has stepped up to the plate in every single way to improve her own, and her daughters life. She is truly a talented mother and I was so excited when she asked me to do these family pictures for her.

We started out the shoot on the rail road tracks behind my parent's house. (Personal favorite Location) Within the first few pictures I snapped, I realized that this was going to be an easy shoot. Both mother and daughter are so incredibly photogenic (which obviously makes my job easier) Their combined undeniable beauty really shows in their pictures.

As we continued onto the second location I had picked out I set up a little story time for Mariah and Lexi complete with one of my favorite books The Places You'll Go. By Dr. Suess. I thought it was very fitting for ther perfect picture of everything Mariah clearly wants for her daughter and her self. Surring these special moments of Mariah reading to her daughter Lexi, I was able to get some great shots of Lexi just being Lexi. Curious, and fun, and simply beautiful.

Our third location was an old fence next to a barn where we got some great portraits of Mariah.

Our 4th and final location was a gorgeous field behind out my grandparents house where there was a tractor just calling for a country beauty like Mariah to do some hot mom shots, and whoa!

After we finished up with Mariah we set up a canopy for little Lexi which she very much enjoyed! I love the canapy outside because the kids love it and so it gets the most natural fun loving smiles out of them and you can see the beautiful mountain scenery right through it.

I am delivering Mariah's CD's to her home this evening and I really hope she had as much fun as me on the shoot and that she loves her pictures as much as I do!

One of my FUNNEST Shoots to date :)

Alright! So a while back now I had 4 girls from the Grad Class of 2011 from Sparwood Secondary book a shoot for them so they would get another chance to wear their gorgeous grad dresses! I loaded them up in a 4x4 machine and took them to a few different locations to get some killer shots. This first one is one of the first one's we took and it totally represents their personalities to a T. They are goofy and happy and silly and fun.

As we continued the session, we got som killer individual shots of the girls that I was super pleased with. All their dresses are just beautiful. Here is Chelsee, she origianlly booked, and organized the shoot and I was so happy she did it! She really is such a beauty.

Next up was her twin sister Tiffany! Got this first amazing shot of her when she was just getting ready and goofing off. Everything about it just reads Tiffany. Pretty, Sassy, Spunky, Fun.
The rest are just so fun too! Love Her!

The next one up was Miss Tori Day. What a cute, quiet, and elegant girl. Her dress suits her perfectly. Truly a beauty, and so much fun to shoot. :)

Last, but certainly not lease is Ana. Ana is a take charge kind of girl and most definetely a leader. Her gorgeous good looks and her outgoing personality and her killer confidence make her a knock out. She will go far in life. I can see it now.

To end this blog post I will just give you a few of my group favorites. :)
Thanks so much girls! Had a BLAST!!

Charged the Battery, Walked Outside, Looked through the Lens, and Fell in Love.

Alright! So I'm not sure about you but I have really been thinking lately how this all got started up so fast! One minute I am writing out my Santa List and the next I am launching a business! Never saw this coming! I've always been attracted to photography but never thought I would become a photographer. It all happened a little like this...

On Christmas Day 2010, I recieved my first DSLR Camera as a present. I immediately charged the battery, walked outside, looked through the lens, and fell in love. From there on out I took pictures or everything and everyone that would let me. Now I have request, reffereals, bookings, and very happy client reports almost everyday!

My very first  shoot was of my older sister Leah Kristina Ray on Christmas Day 2010... Now please keep in mind that this was my VERY FIRST shoot and that I had no idea what I was doing but anyways here is one of my favorites.

Now I am onto much bigger and better things and am building up my prop and equipment selection everyday! Within just a few months people were asking to pay me to capture their special moments! What an honor for me! Seriously! Anyways this is my latest shoot I did out in Sparwood of a girl i graduated with and her darling daughter :).

It makes me so incredibly happy to have such good feedback from clients and so I set up this blog so that after a shoot I can put a little tidbit up about the client, the shoot, and the overall experience as well as a sneak peak without facebook downgrading the quality of the images! Now this doesn't mean I won't be using facebook because let's be honest... It is the BEST way to keep in touch with all my clients at one time. I am very excited to start using this blog more and more and giving you all the awesome experiences and the behind the scene details of my new dream.

Thanks for Reading! E-mail me at beckyjeanphotography@hotmail.com for bookings!
